Why we Should be Paid to Come to School

This week we were presenting our speeches. My topic was why we should get paid for coming to school daily. I found it challenging to read some of the words that I didn't know, and had trouble saying them. Next time I would practice a bit more before presenting my speech.

Why we Should be Paid to Come to School 

I strongly believe that we should be paid five dollars daily from the government for coming to school because we can save this money and it will encourage us to come to school. It can also provide students that have no money for lunch to buy their own lunch or food. 

Firstly,  I think we should get paid from the government to come to school because kids can save this money for future education like university and get an apartment while they are at university to live in.

secondly kids can save that money for the future so they don't end up on the Homeless on the Streets. They can use this money to buy themselves a house to live in. Or buy a car to drive to work, or use this money to Travel to visit family.

Lastly, I strongly agree that kids should get paid to come to school because this encourages students to stay at school and learn. If you come to school for a whole year you could get about $1000, that’s 40 weeks of school at $5 a day.

This is why I strongly believe we should be paid to come to school so we can have money for the future and you get smarter for coming to school.

My father's day gift

For father's day I made a father's day card and I planted sunflower. when it was Sunday I gave my card and plant to my dad and one gift from the fishing shop he was very happy. here is the photo of the plants and me doing my father's day card.

Egg experiment

 Today me and one other student had the same task we had to get a jar,vinegar and then we had to leave the egg over night. Here is a photo of my experiment. after we left the egg overnight  I came back and looked at the egg. I touched the egg and it felt soft. I took the egg out and bounced it. vinegar has acid in it so that's how it made the shelf soft.

Have you ever used an aqua pod before? An aqua pod is something we use for science and it looks like an orange platform. First we have to fill a third of a bottle then we flip the aqua pod upside down because if we put the bottle upside down the water will leak. The first attempt was kind of bad but the canned attempt was awesome. Here is the link to the video

Matariki in scratch

We have been learning how to do scratch I liked doing backgrounds and our theme was to do Matariki I really enjoyed doing scratch because it was enjoyable.

Have you ever done your name and sign language?

Today we were learning how to pronounce names and sign language. My name was very easy because my name is very short. Some people struggle to do their names because hanging signals was very tricky.

I found it easy to do my name in sign language.

I found it tricky to not be shy of the camera.
