The Walking School Bus
We were reading a book about 'Don't Miss the Bus'. It was about a bus that is a line of people walking and a teacher at the front. I think it is a good idea because it teaches you how to look left and right and how to cross roads. The kids also get to school safely.
We had had to type what the author think and why,, and then what I whink and why. It was tricky thinking of ideas to write because I had plenty of ideas but I didn't know which one to choose.

Ruru art
For the past two weeks we were working on a Ruru art, Ruru in english mean owl. We were learning to blend the dye, we were doing Maori patterns on the head and body. I used these patterns because it looked fascinating.
I found it easy to blend the dye.
I found it hard to do the Maori patterns, because I needed to remember what the Maori patterns looked like while drawing.

Pattern Ball - P.E.
We worked out the plan.
We started with a pink ball. Ocean started off with the pink ball and Kayla has a green ball that is a rugby ball. We had one more ball that was blue. It was a soccer ball and Myah started off with the soccer ball.
We found it easy to figure out our pattern.
I found a tricky to remember who I was passing to.

Matariki
There are nine sisters at night you can see a group of stars twinkling
in the skies.
The nine stars are called, Matariki, Pohutukawa, Waiti, Waita,
Waipuna-a-Rangi, Tupuanuku, Tuarangi, Ururangi, and Hiwa-i-te-Rangi.
Maori people celebrate Matariki by enjoying food, songs, games and
haka as a family. It is a time to remember the people who have passed away,
and to celebrate new life into their families.

Matariki New Year
I enjoyed listening to the fact that there's nine and not 7.
I found tricky to understand half of it.
Next time I would write about another celebration.

Martas Journey
In my drawings it shows before she came to New Zealand, She drew buildings on fire and planes dropping bombs. In the after picture Marta had drawed it has a new school, a new house, and she drew her new friend.
I enjoyed reading this story, because it tells me more information about refugees.
I found it hard to read some of the words in the story.
